Circulation Desk
The Circulation Desk is located on the Main Floor of the library.
Books that can be checked out of the library are called "circulating" books and are located in the Circulating Collection.
Students must present their Greer card to check out library materials. Circulation staff check out materials using an electronic circulation system.
- Student loan period: one month
- Faculty loan period: three months
- Videos and DVDs: 7 days
- Periodicals, except the current issue: 7 days
- Most items can be renewed once
- Materials can be renewed online or by telephone
- Overdue fines are $ .10 per day
- $1 per day for DVDs, videos, overnight reserves, and Interlibrary Loan materials
- Fines are collected at this desk
- Students can pay fines using their Greer card, but fines paid in cash are reduced by half.
Library materials should be returned promptly so that they are available for use by the entire community. Actions that unfairly limit access to library resources, such as failure to return materials, are considered a serious breach of academic integrity (see DA to Z). |
Students can sign up in advance for a group study room to work on a project with fellow students.
Faculty can sign up to use the electronic and audio visual classrooms.
Copy cards for use in the copy machines are $6 (50 copies). The library does not have a color printer or copier. A color printer is available in the Help Desk area in Information Technology Services.
Reserve materials placed in the library by faculty members for use by specific classes are located at the Circulation Desk. Some materials must be used in the library so that they are always available to students; others can be checked out for three hours or one day. |
