How do I find government documents?

The United States government utilizes the Internet as a means for providing access to information from U.S. government agencies and departments and to many government documents. An official government website can be identified when "gov" appears in the domain area of the Internet address. For example, http://www.loc.gov is the site for The Library of Congress.
