Bookstore

The Academy Bookstore is located in Hitchcock House near the Dining Hall. It stocks school supplies as well as a selection of contemporary titles, dictionaries, study guides, children's books, and a core collection of literary classics. Small gift items, greeting cards, and wrapping paper are also available.

Textbook Orders
The bookstore orders print and non-print materials for classroom use. All textbooks and books for classroom use are ordered, after consultation with the department chair, through the Academy bookstore.

To order textbooks, complete a textbook order form and have it signed by the department chair.  Order forms are available at the bookstore and the library.

The Books-in-Print database is available on the library website to assist with identifying titles for purchase. (For off-campus or remote access go to DAOrgs/Library). Amazon.com and Schoenhofs.com are other useful resources.

Although textbook purchases do take place throughout the school year, faculty will be notified of specific deadline dates regarding new term requests.

Personal Orders
Personal orders are welcome and are included in the bookstore's weekly order. They usually arrive within a few days.  Employees receive a 20% discount on most titles, pay no handling fees and may choose to charge the cost to their account.  Requests can be left at the switchboard, dropped off at the bookstore or emailed.
